large 39" rectangular willy guhl vintage mid century fiber cement PLANTERIn 1951 Swiss architects Willy Guhl and Anton Bee designed the famous "Spindel" planter for the Eternit company. It was such a big success so that in the following years Eternit produced a lot of other planters, containers, chairs and tables, all of the same material, a stone grey fiber cement, in order to fit to the "Spindel" planter.
The decade of production of this large rectangular planter is unknown, probably 1960s. It was in outdoor use for many years and has got a fantastic vintage patina. It is a perfect addition to a true mid century balcony, terrace or garden! For outdoor use only.
Length 39 1/3" (100 cm), width 8" (20 cm), height 7" (18 cm), weight approx. 8.8 kg.
