  • Condition: both chairs have been repainted a few times within their lives...chair on right has a small separation at the arm. The tip has been separated as the bolt should pass through instead it has broken at that spot and that repair using another bolt with a washer is not really working...the arm rests properly but becomes if one is to move it around on a regular basis...if you are not moving them around then they may function perfectly for you. The part is hidden so one could probably make a small weld repair as it is hidden.

    Description

    up for consideration is a pair of old Victorian Lyre Back antique garden chairs. They stand about 31 inches in height with a width of 21 inches and depth of about 22 inches...the seat height is about 15 inches...they are super heavy well cast and solid with crusty distressed paint...one chair has a repair..under the arm as an old bolt should tie the arm into the back at that point the tip of the arm has an opening for a bolt to tie the two together...the tip has separated and is bolted with a washer onto the back...so the piece is present...the chair is still functional however if you move it the arm becomes vulnerable and moves...one needs to remove the bolt and washer and reconnect the tip back on to the arm....then put a bolt back through to join the arm to the back...or if you are going place them for decorative purposes and use them sparingly then you are fine.
