  • Condition: This a reproduction cast iron set of a very rare Victorian Design park bench. It is virtually identical except the degree of fine detail is slightly less defined and you can see some of the casting seams (the original English made ones had the casting seams ground off). This does however make quite a statement. This set is painted a beautiful shade of forest green and the paint job is very well done. It appears to be a satin enamel that looks to be very durable. The paint does have some worn spots. Please examine the photos for the best idea of it's condition. This is a very solid and well made cast iron bench in a beautiful and unique Lions Head design. Each side weighs about 25 pounds and they are very strong. Add the wood slats in Oak, treated lumber, or cedar and you will have an amazing bench with a classic English look. There are no metal braces or hardware included in this listing. These weigh more than the normal park bench and the Lions Heads are quite large.

    Description

    This is a very well made replica of a classic Lion Headed English Victorian Park Bench. It is cast iron and very well painted in a semi gloss forest green enamel paint that has the look and feel of a long lasting paint job. The design is identical to the original Victorian English design. The detail is amazing and the design is beautiful and very unique. Each end weighs over 25 pounds. This will look very classic when paired with the wood slats and stained in a rich wood finish or kept natural against the forest green color. I will make a custom box and pack the ends to eliminate any rubbing or chance for damage. I buy and sell cast Iron park bench ends and this is only the 2nd set I have ever run across. I sold a pair like this about 5 weeks ago before I realized how unusual they were. There was a set that was similair that sold on eBay for many times what these are listed for.
